TOWN OF HANSEN MEETING MINUTES

Board Members in Attendance: Paul Goldberg, Pamela Martinson, Wayne Brock, Dan Madsen & Diane Kohls
Board Members Excused: None
Others in Attendance: Chris Ferkey and Ralph Hamel
Call to Order: Chairman, Paul Goldberg, called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
Approval of Clerks Minutes: The minutes from the August 13. 2024 meeting were read. A motion was made by Dan, seconded by Wayne, to approve the minutes. Motion carried.
Expenditures and Treasurer Reports: A motion was made by Wayne, seconded by Dan, to approve the expenditures and Treasurer reports. Motion carried.
Correspondence: Diane received a building permit from Dan Grimm for a new shed and he requested a fire number. The Pittsville School District wants to be on our next agenda. Rec’d MFL paperwork. The Towns Association is having a law conference if anyone wants to attend.
Road and Maintenance Concerns: Paul will get a bid for the ditches. Duane has been grading the roads. Paul and Wayne will go look for the dip in the road by Tamarack.
Board Wages: The chairman came up with a proposal for board wages. The salary for Chairperson will increase to $250 per month; Supervisor will be $100 per month; Clerk will be $1,000 per month; and Treasurer will be $350 per month. The per diem will increase to $80 for meetings 4 hours or less and $90 for meetings over 4 hours. A motion was made by Wayne, seconded by Dan, to accept the proposal. Motion carried.
Banking and CD Updates: Connexus does not do businesses. Diane is waiting to hear back from US Bank. The CD matured and the board will not be doing another one right now because we may need the money for a new plow truck.
Plow Truck: We are tabling this until next month.
LP Prebuy: Cooper was at $1.44 with a minimum of 500 gallons for prebuy. Allied was at $1.54 per gallon. The board decided not to purchase any LP on a prebuy this year. Paul will call and see if they can fill it now while the prices are lower.
Preliminary Budget Numbers: The board worked on the budget.
Pay current bills: A motion was made by Dan, seconded by Wayne, to pay the current bills. Motion carried.
Old Business: Paul talked to Dave Hamel and he isn’t going to put up a fence right now.

Adjournment: A motion was made by Wayne, seconded by Dan, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned by Chairman, Paul Goldberg, at 8:16 p.m.
