TOWN OF HANSEN MEETING MINUTES

Board Members in Attendance: Paul Goldberg, Pamela Martinson, Wayne Brock, Dan Madsen, and Diane Kohls
Board Members Excused: None
Others in Attendance: Chris Ferkey and Bill Winch
Call to Order: Chairman, Paul Goldberg, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Land Survey: A certified land survey was received for the Halbersma property. Since there is no zoning Diane will fill it out and email it back to the County right away.
Approval of Clerks Minutes: The minutes from the May 14, 2024 meeting were read. A motion was made by Wayne, seconded by Dan, to approve the minutes. Motion carried.
Expenditures and Treasurer Reports: A motion was made by Wayne, seconded by Dan, to approve the expenditures and Treasurer reports with the correction for the Alliant bill. Motion carried.
Correspondence: Received a MFL order. Received letter from Donna Rozar’s office. Received annexation paperwork for Cline property. Diane will find out if there is anything that needs to be filled out.
Road and Maintenance Concerns/Brushcutting: Kolo is doing Maplewood south of Lincoln and Poplar Lane this week and Johnson next week. The crack fill on North Road is complete. Young Road will be done in the next couple of weeks. There is a hole on Elm Road south of Lincoln that needs to be fixed. Paul cleaned up multiple trees that were down after the last storm.
Building Maintenance: The town hall needs some work. The roof leaks, there is a gap around the overhead door, and the door to the meeting room does not stay shut. We also need a new flag polel as our old one came down in the storm. Wayne will contact someone to see if they can do the repairs.
Board Wages: There was discussion on the board wages that Paul presented. Chris Ferkey thinks that wages proposed are too high. Diane will bring back budgeted amounts next month to see if what was proposed would even be feasible.
WTA Meeting Host Update: Travis Marti confirmed that he will be our presenter at the meeting. Pam received some food options from the Pittsville store. Diane and Pam will coordinate the food and bring desserts. The rest of the board will bring drinks.
Pay current bills: A motion was made by Dan, seconded by Wayne, to pay the current bills. Motion carried. Diane had the incorrect Alliant bill and will fix that on the payables.
Old Business: Sankey’s have not put their fence up yet. Paul will monitor the progress and let Diane know if a letter needs to be drafted that the board would sign.
New Business: There were some loose dogs in the township but SWCHS said that they need to be contained for them to come get them. We need to look at the contract we signed.
Public Input: Chris Ferkey said that there is pothole starting by the bridge on Spruce. Paul will have the county take a look at it.

Adjournment: A motion was made by Wayne, seconded by Dan, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned by Chairman, Paul Goldberg, at 8:07 p.m.
