TOWN OF HANSEN MEETING MINUTES

Board Members in Attendance: Paul Goldberg, Pamela Martinson, Wayne Brock, Dan Madsen, and Diane Kohls
Board Members Excused: None
Others in Attendance: Bob Cline, Ruth Cline, Scott Brehm and Bill Winch
Call to Order: Chairman, Paul Goldberg, called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m.
Approval of Clerks Minutes: The minutes from the March 12, 2024 meeting were read. A motion was made by Dan, seconded by Wayne, to approve the minutes. Motion carried.
Expenditures and Treasurer Reports: A motion was made by Dan, seconded by Wayne, to approve the expenditures and Treasurer reports. Motion carried.
Correspondence: We received a certified survey map from Wood County.
Road and Maintenance Concerns/Brushcutting: Paul thinks that we should do overlay and shouldering on North Road between Grant Road and Arpin-Hansen because the road is in pretty rough shape. He checked with the county and it would normally cost $90,000 but with the 50/50 road aid that we have built up it would cost $66,000. A motion was made by Dan, seconded by Wayne, to overlay North Road. Motion carried.
Road Inspection: The road inspection was completed on March 18th by Paul and Wayne. A bunch of BNI (fire) numbers are faded and need to be replaced. If anyone is driving around and notices any bad road signs, they should let the board know.
Road Contracts: Diane will work with Paul to get a Notice of Bids drafted and put in the Pittsville Record.
Open Book and Board of Review Dates: Open Book will be held on April 22, 2024 from 3-5 pm at the Town Hall and the Board of Review will be held on April 29, 2024 from 4-6 pm at the Town Hall.
Pay current bills: A motion was made by Dan, seconded by Wayne, to pay the current bills. Motion carried.
Old Business: Property line/fencing issue: Wayne received an email that Sankey’s have started to install their portion of the fencing. Furnace: Paul met with ComfortAire and was told that the heater is a basic heater and duct work cannot be added. They suggested installing an electric heater. A motion was made by Wayne, seconded by Dan, to install a 13,550 btu electric heater for the meeting room for $580. Motion carried.
New Business: Vesper gave their poll workers a raise to $13 per hour. Poll worker wages will be added to the next agenda.
Public Input: Bill Winch said that he retired from the Wood County Board. His replacement, Scott Brehm, was at our meeting and introduced himself as the new Board Member.

Next meeting date: May 14, 2024 @ 7:00 p.m.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Wayne, seconded by Dan, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned by Chairman, Paul Goldberg, at 8:31 p.m.
